BRAYN Consulting LLC is a consulting firm that supports CPA firms and their clients in taking full advantage of specialty tax credits and incentives. We are currently a small firm, but growing at a fast pace and we need high quality talent. We primarily serve closely-held, mid-sized companies.

Job Title: Accounting Clerk (part-time)
Summary
As an Accounting Clerk, you will manage BRAYN’s accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll systems, as well as prepare financial reports for use by leadership.
Location: Virtual, must travel to Santa Clarita 1-2 times per week.
Responsibilities
- Record received payments into QuickBooks
- Follow up with clients on overdue invoices
- Request and store related documents from colleagues and clients
- Calculate and run payroll every two weeks
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and sales reports for leadership
- Track, document, and pay contractors
- Update internal trackers on a weekly basis
- Work closely with administration, bookkeeper, and accountant to reconcile accounts and prepare reports
- Travel to Santa Clarita once or twice a week to complete duties
Qualifications
- Mastery of QuickBooks Online
- Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Suite products
- At least 1-5 years of related experience
- Education or certification in Bookkeeping or Accounting
- Ability to articulate and relay information in an effective and efficient manner
- Time management and attention to detail critical to job performance
- Must have secure work location (e.g. home office)
- Previous experience working remotely a plus
- This is an ideal position for someone who is generally available during the day-time (M-F, 8 am – 4 pm) who would like flexibility and the opportunity to work primarily from home
